Muckross House, this fire escape and other improvements bankrupted the Lord because Queen Victoria Came to stay one night and was scared S---less of fire. So there were 2 fire birgades on duty 24 hours.
The gardens, the house was built for 30,000 Pounds and the preparations for Queen V took 6 years and cost 90,000 Pounds for the one night stay.
